STATEMENT OF ISSUE:

Fund Citizen Oversight(CFFCO)Committee to represent the Habitat Values.
ANALYSIS/STRATEGIC GOALS/PRO'S and COWS:
Three vacancies on the CF Committee, one to represent District 2,one to represent District 3,and one to
represent an Open Interest, were advertised in the Port Townsend Leader on September 6,2023. Ms.
Lowe and Mr. Ehrlichman each responded to the ad prior the September 22,2023 deadline. They were the
only two individuals to express interest in the seats at this time.On November 131,the program
coordinator and two committee members interviewed Ms. Lowe in person.
Ms. Lowe resides in Port Townsend and volunteers as a member of the Outreach Committee for the North
Olympic Salmon Coalition(NOSC)and the Olympic Chapter of the Washington Native Plant Society.
She also volunteers regularly with the Food Bank and School Garden growing produce for those
organizations. For 7 years,up until 2020,she was employed by WSU Extension as a water programs
coordinator and provided administrative support to the Jefferson Marine Resources Committee as well as
Stream Stewards and Beach Naturalists courses. Prior to that,Ms. Lowe was a land steward at Whidbey
Camano Land Trust. Her formal education is in plant ecology and public garden administration.
The interview committee recommends Ms. Low highly to serve a four-year term on the CFFOC
Committee.
FISCAL IWACT/COST BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
There is no fiscal impact to the county's General Fund for appointing Ms. Lowe to a seat on the CFFOC.
