Commissioners; Please review the fee schedule for taking waste to the Quilcene Transfer Station. The fee for dumping one can of household waste is now $15.00. For two cans, $15.00. For three cans. $22.50. The majority of people with whom I have communicated take ONE can of household waste to the dump site approximately once a month. DOUBLING the single can price is financially burdensome to many people, and unwelcome to ALL of the facility users. If you have a single can fee when a person is bringing more than two cans, you you can have a single can fee for a person bringing ONE can. $7.50 is an approximate 10% fee increase, which, while steep, most people will understand that inflation affects every thing, including county operation costs. Paying the price to dump TWO cans when one has only one can is not going to be acceptable. You give a discount to people with EBT cards, but not to veterans, seniors, or anyone else. NO one wants to have stinky garbage sitting around for weeks waiting to fill a second can. It is unsanitary and a health hazard. John Gusoskey 83 Wampum Point Road Quilcene, WA, 98376 360 434 0572
