Dear Jefferson County Commissioners,
This message is to ask that you support a new pool in Jefferson County. I have been using the pool continuously since I moved here permanently in 2017. I have several medical conditions
which make exercising in a pool the best and only thing for me. Doing low impact exercise is best for my joints and back. If Port Townsend did not have a pool, I would not be able to
do any exercise as jogging, tennis, etc. are not good for me. I would not drive to Sequim or Silverdale.
Besides the medical benefits of the pool, the social interaction for a senior citizen such as myself has meant a lot since I don’t have many other opportunities to see friends.
I know that there is a lot of feelings that the pool is an extravagance, but please understand that there are very many people in my situation that depend on the pool.
