Hello commissioners,
There is much disagreement in discussions around the value that the proposed aquatic center will add to the community. I personally think that proposed is insane and doesn’t fit the
character, nor the needs of the town and outlying areas. You don’t have the fiscal fortitude to pay for this, and the people of Jeffco will not be paying for this pipe dream. Even IF
you did have those funds, why would you even consider blowing them on a new pool for kids to urinate in? We all share things like roads, and much of those in town need serious repair.
We all share EMS, and I know that all of jeffco’s EMS are understaffed. We also all benefit from a robust law enforcement that serves the people, and they are underfunded. Public education
in this county is dismal, yet those kids are our future. You need to seriously consider fixing existing problems before throwing money into a pit that will serve few, even if it’s because
the mayor wants it for his kids.
I want to look back and remember how appropriately you served the people, so thank you for your service to us.
