Commissioners,
We are against this proposed aquatic center. We are also strongly against any plan to tax the entire county for this proposed facility.
As we see it, the primary beneficiaries are the population of Port Townsend plus those immediately outside those city limits.
We live in Port Ludlow and would never consider driving the half-hour up and half-hour back to use this facility.
We find it even more unconscionable that population on the far western shores of Jefferson County and down the western side of the Hood Canal would also be responsible for this.
Please, DO NOT, approve a county-wide tax for this facility. Let Port Townsend decide what’s best for them & how they pay for it.
