I am opposed to the pool at the price being proposed. Please do not vote for it at this time. Consider some of the alternatives before committing to the city’s proposal. I live in
PT and I would like to have a pool to exercise in, but there are more important things to spend our potential community income on. The most pressing now for the city is repairing and
rebuilding the water delivery system. What would happen to that system if the mill closes, for instance. It is not good finances to tax to the hilt with a luxury. You need to keep
potential income in abeyance when there are basic needs that will soon need to be addressed. The problems caused by climate change is another that you are just getting started addressing
that is going to need some of that revenue stream.
