SUBJECT: ADVISORY BOARD RESIGNATION (1) and APPOINTMENTS (1) re:
Jefferson County Clean Water District Advisory Council
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
On November 13, 2023, notice was received from Jefferson County Clean Water District Clean Water
District Advisory Council staff member Michael Dawson, that the following committee member will not be
renewing their term:
1. David Steele, Commercial Shellfish Grower
Executive Director Kim Thompson of the Pacific Shellfish Growers Association has recommended Lee
Steele of Rock Point Oyster to fill the vacant position.
2. Lee Steele, Commercial Shellfish Grower
ANALYSIS:
After said recommendation the Clean Water District Advisory Council is recommending that the BOCC
approve the following appointment:
1. Commercial Shellfish Grower, Lee Steele—Four-Year Term Un-expiring April 11, 2024
RECOMMENDATION
1. Accept the Clean Water District resignation
2. Approve the recommendation for the Clean Water District Advisory Council
