I wholeheartedly support a pool for Jefferson County whether located in Port Townsend or Hadlock. The current pool is beyond reasonable restoration. The county needs and deserves an
efficient and well-run pool to serve its residents young and old. With so much access to boating it is important that youngsters have a place to learn to swim, that the local swim
teams have a reasonable pool, to practice and compete, that families have a place to exercise together, and that the elderly have a pool to exercise, perhaps with a hot tub to sooth
old muscles. Thirty dollars per person, if that is accurate, is a more than reasonable amount to contribute to these benefits to the health and happiness of the community.
