Having loaded up my recyclables and hoping to beat the rush of Amazon-delivered cardboard, I headed the transfer station --- only to find the gates closed!
No advance notice of this facility closure was posted in the county’s “Latest News” on county website or in the local press. Yes, I now see it posted on Solid Waste’s own site***, but
a person should not have to go digging around the Internet to see such notices.
Today is not a national or state holiday. There is no excuse for this. Double fees, but reduce service???

*** Yet another reason to have a single, consolidated and uniform website for all county departments instead of wasting money on many different sites.
