Since JCARF's founding, we have used this day as an opportunity to celebrate local Indigenous and PGM-led projects and individuals. There are so many incredible projects to support, and we will share some below. We hope you are making this a central part of your holiday ritual. This year, the National Day of Mourning will fall on the second day of a four-day ceasefire in the Israeli siege on Gaza, with the return of some Israeli and Palestinian hostages and prisoners to their families. This is a small reprieve, but it is not nearly enough. In honor of all those who have lost their lives, lands, and dreams at the hands of a colonial regime, we are asking you to step into your power to demand a lasting ceasefire in Gaza. Call your representatives, email, write letters, protest, make your voice heard. This could not be more urgent.
