Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! We wanted to celebrate our FIVE Years of Community Impact with our favorite community members- and y’all were ready to party! What a wonderful evening to work, celebrate, eat cake, and support housing solutions in, and for, our community. During HSN’s Annual Meeting on November 14, 2023, the Network celebrated the work that Housing Action Teams (HATs) have accomplished since its founding in 2018. A brief overview of the HATs’ major successes can be found on our 5 Years of Impact Report <https://housingsolutionsnetwork.us17.list-manage.com/track/click?u=38123e1ad2608f9c4e51e6660&id=9713afa729&e=b56e9d81e8> . Weeks before our Annual meeting and Birthday Bash, a community engagement survey was sent out to Network advocates, community members, partners, and others to gain insight on what the future focus of HSN could look like. Coupled with active engagement of the evening’s participants, the following results were drawn: * 65% of individuals preferred to attend one meeting per month working on a project with others, aligning with our HATS structure. * Respondents indicated the following four areas as having a significant role to play in contributing to affordable workforce housing. Percentages represent respondents who agree or strongly agree. Housing Protections: 84% Government Relations: 92% Business Relations: 70% Outreach + Education: 92% * HSN will move into 2024 having celebrated the work of the previous HATs while supporting the momentum of new HATs. Please join us at one of our upcoming volunteer orientations to learn more! January 9th, 5:30-6:30PM: In person (Location: TBD) January 17th, 12:00-1:00PM: Via Zoom New Housing Action Teams! At HSN’s Annual meeting we had a community brainstorming session of potential pursuits for each of the new HATs. The results are listed below, but by no means are the HATs limited to these ideas nor are they expected to explore everything listed. If you think our community should explore or expand any of these concepts, please sign up!
