WHEREAS, the Jefferson County has received a petition (Exhibit "A") to name a private
road, as shown on attached map (Exhibit B), either Cascara Drive or Fern Hill Drive or Gaia Lane;
and
WHEREAS, the petitioner is a property owner on this road; and
WHEREAS, the petitioner wishes to establish this road name, pursuant to the Jefferson
County 911 Emergency Locator System Ordinance Number 2-0401-91, to .allow for addressing
along the road; and
WHEREAS, research has shown that there are currently four addresses assigned at
milepost number 1.22 left on East Quilcene Road; and
WHEREAS, notification was sent to affected agencies and property owners along the
road to be named; and .
WHEREAS, Jefferson County Fire District #2 supports the naming of this road in order to
enhance emergency response to the residents and further supports petitioner's first name choice
of Cascara Lane; and
WHEREAS, JEFFCOM supports the petitioner's first name choice of Cascara Lane; and
WHEREAS, no negative responses were received for the first name choice of Cascara
Lane; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the road be named Cascara Lane.
