Do not open attachments or click on links if you are not expecting them. Dear Maritime Washington Partners, Touching base with a few updates and reminders as we steam ahead towards December: First, I’d like to introduce you to two new members of the Maritime Washington team. While I’ll remain your main point of contact, both of our new teammates will also be here to support you moving forward: * Carson Meacham is Maritime Washington’s new Communications Specialist. You and/or your communications staff should feel free to reach out to Carson if you’d like Maritime Washington to help publicize any of your events, articles, or other materials. You can reach him at carson@preservewa.org <mailto:carson@preservewa.org> . * Charlotte Hevly is the new Grants Coordinator for the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation (the organization that runs the Maritime Washington National Heritage Area) and will support the Maritime Washington Grants Program. You can reach her with any grants-related questions at mwnha@preservewa.org <mailto:mwnha@preservewa.org> . Second, a reminder that we currently have grants available for interpretation of maritime heritage. Please see below for more information about the program and how to apply. Note that we’ve simplified the application form since the preview we sent to partners earlier this month—thank you to those who provided feedback on the application preview! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me and/or sign up for our virtual “office hours this Thursday at 12pm: register here <https://preservewa.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=907c69b081f5ea7a5b595e058&id= 6dea1a5eea&e=35d498f283> . Applications are due on Dec 15. Finally, we’re sending our bimonthly public newsletter next week, and would love to feature your events, programs, and other happenings—particularly any nautical holiday festivities! Please email Carson (carson@preservewa.org <mailto:carson@preservewa.org> ) with any maritime heritage-related public events and programs by EOD Friday 12/1 to be included in the December newsletter. As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out with your ideas, questions, and celebrations. Fair winds, Alex PS. Please keep an eye out in December for a holiday gift from us– a new “Partner of Maritime Washington window decal for your facility!
