This will be an opportunity for those here in Forks to come to have a cup of coffee or tea with Kevin and hear why he is running to be the State's next Commissioner of Public Lands. As our State Senator, we are all familiar with Kevin's dedication and service to our county and state. However, you may not be familiar with his hard work on issues involving public lands and their sustainable management. Now's your chance to hear from him directly as to what he sees as the most challenging issues the state and the Department of Natural Resources are facing and why his unique skill sets as a legislator with 17 years of working on natural resource issues for 17 years is what is vitally needed at DNR HQ. Yes, this is a fundraiser for Kevin's campaign. Under our state's campaign rules, Kevin will be unable to host fundraisers or solicit campaign funds for a month prior to the start of the legislative session, through it, and until its conclusion. That campaign fundraising begins after the 7th of December. We are hoping that we can help add to Kevin's campaign war chest so that he will be well-positioned to run at a gallop when the legislative session is complete. Again, next Monday night, 4 December, at 5 pm, please come and join Randy Johnson, Kevin, and me at the Miller Tree Inn. Kevin's familiarity with the challenges of maintaining the State's working public lands makes him the best candidate for the Commissioner of Public Lands. Come and meet him yourself.
