Time sure does fly by fast! The 2024 legislative session is fast approaching and we have a couple of events to share with you. Please join the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Coalition and the Washington Recreation & Park Association at our joint Parks and Great Outdoors Legislative Events! We'll have our annual reception at the Governor's Mansion on January 18th from 5:30-7pm and our annual Legislative Day held virtually on January 29th. On January 18th, you can join us for a night of celebration for the wins of last year: Record funding levels for the WWRP, additional funding for the Planning for Recreation Access Grants, and many more successes! This will be a great opportunity to mingle with other folks in the outdoor recreation and conservation world, as well as many legislators! Register here for our reception <https://wildliferecreation.us9.list-manage.com/track/click?u=0f4ebc0827fada7e62b54ea21&id=c881d16033&e=8c3506b728> . On January 29th, you can join us virtually to advocate for policy items coming up in the supplemental session, as well as an opportunity to personally and directly thank legislators for their work last year. Never met with a legislator before? Don't worry, we will make sure you have everything you need! The event will include training on how to meet with legislators. While this is a short session and there is no ask for additional funding to WWRP this session, it is still important to support other efforts in outdoor recreation and conservation. Your voice is needed in this advocacy work and it goes a long way for legislators to hear from constituents and other advocates! Register here for our legislative day <https://wildliferecreation.us9 .list-manage.com/track/click?u=0f4ebc0827fada7e62b54ea21&id=1c4477ebcc&e=8c3506b728> . Can't attend but still want to support WWRC's work?
