Citizens and major organizations ranging from Jefferson Healthcare to the YMCA all support a new aquatic center for Jefferson County for a very good reason—the health and well-being
of our residents. Less prominent in recent public discussions is how a modern aquatic center can also support economic development in the county by attracting both residents and businesses
who value quality of life amenities. Allowing our existing infrastructure to deteriorate, as is the case with the Mountain View pool, is not an option if Jefferson County is to grow,
prosper, and maintain its high quality of life. So much collaboration and hard work has been done over the years to develop this proposal and it deserves your support. Please support
the recommendations in the final report of the Healthier Together Aquatic Center partners and conduct a feasibility study so the residents of Jefferson County have factual and unbiased
information to decide for themselves if they want a new pool when they vote in April on the proposed sales tax. Sincerely,
