Subject: Change Order, Oak Bay Campsite Electric Project
Statement of Issue: A change order for the contract with Henden Electric to install
electric service to 12 campsites including the new caretakers campsite has been
prepared and is ready for approval by the BoCC.
Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's Et Con's: The change order is to install a conduit from
the utility pole to the new caretaker site to be used for future internet access cable.
Astound Broadband is currently available, and the PUD has plans to install fiber optic.
The change order also includes a correction in a mistake of the sales tax amount in
the original contract from 9.0% to 9.1%.
Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: This change order will increase the original
contract amount by $4,239.81 from $78,687.10 to $82,926.91. This project is funded
by Jefferson County Capital Improvement Funds.
Recommendation: Public Works recommends that the Board execute all three
originals of Change Order No. 1 with Henden Electric and return two (2) originals to
Public Works for further processing.

You are ordered to perform the following described work upon receipt of an approved copy of this change order.
The Contract scope of work is hereby modified as follows
In Exhibit F. Scope or Work. Plans and Specifications which begins on page 11 of the project contract add the following.
1. Install 1"low voltage conduit for future internet data cable from PUD utility pole the meter,and from the meter to site
1 Leave pull string in the conduit
2. Includes adding 1"conduit to the linear bore from the meter to the PUD pole.
COST INCLUDING SALES TAX S4,167 62
The Contract amount is also changed to correct a mistake in the sales tax from 9.0%to 9.1%
AMOUNT OF OF SALES TAX CORRECTION:$72.19
All work materials and measurement to be in accordance with the provisions of the standard specifications and
special provisions for the t pe of construction involved.
