SUBJECT: Request for Board Approval, re: Issuing Homeless Housing and Affordable
Housing Request for Proposals(RFP)
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
During their December 7,2023 meeting,the Housing Fund Board approved a motion to recommend that the Board of
County Commissioners issue an RFP in an amount not to exceed$194,130 for Unallocated Affordable Housing
Funds, for qualifying projects to be undertaken in 2024.
ANALYSIS:
Staff analyzed the finances of the Affordable Housing funds and notified the Housing Fund Board that the available
unallocated amounts in 2024 are$194,130.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This request has no fiscal impact in and of itself. However, approval of this request will lead to the award of grants for
Affordable Housing projects in Jefferson County in 2024.
RECOMMENDATION:
Authorize the issuance of an Unallocated Funds for Affordable Housing RFP in an amount not to exceed $194,130 for
Affordable Housing.

Call for Proposals
The Housing Fund Board is accepting proposals from organizations for projects that meet the eligibility
requirements under House Bill 1590 and RCW 82.14.530 for Affordable and Supportive Housing funds
to be provided during calendar year 2024 and paid for from the County's 1590 Funds (County Fund
148).
