I just went down to measure the existing pool building 4 blocks from my house. The building is 88'x94'. I do not know if there is a second level under the pool (for showers). This
means that the building has a square footage of less than 10,000 square feet. The proposed new facility is proposed to be 30,000 square feet. I think if you encompassed the entire
school grounds and buildings including the police station, food bank, gymnasium for basketball, the downstairs where the library was 10 years ago and the inner courtyards you might
find that the entire complex of the old Mountain View School is 30,000 square feet.
We should stop calling this a pool plan but call it what it really is proposed to be. The Port Townsend Lazy River Resort or Spa.
