I am guessing you might have some in common with with me. My first wish is a place where children can enjoy playing outside, no matter how their body works. That’s what the folks behind Jefferson Universal Movement Playground (JUMP!) wanted, too. I want to tell you more about JUMP! But first, I need your help. One of Morgan's children has a disability, and two are able-bodied. The playgrounds near her home were impossible to navigate with a mobility device. They didn’t offer any kind of safe or fun play for children with disabilities. But now, thanks to the vision of her local community, a lot of hard work, and a grant from the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program, that has changed. Now, eastern Jefferson County has a playground that can accommodate all children. Morgan's kids are able to play, explore and challenge themselves—TOGETHER. Not only that, but caregivers using walkers, canes, and wheelchairs can join in for an afternoon at the playground, too! You can find out more about JUMP!
