Questions for Dr Allison Berry:
1. Will we ever be able to get Pfizer vaccine again?
Tri-Area Pharmacy said they cannot get it and I did not like Moderna vaccine.
2. When it comes to the risk of catching Covid, what holiday activities are safer this year than they were last year? And which are not as safe?
3. Relative to recent local deaths from Covid (you reported 2 new deaths during your report to Commissioners last month), what has been the cause?
In other words, was the cause of death respiratory?
Are patients still being put on ventilators?
Have the deaths been at Jefferson Healthcare or were patients transported out?
We are understanding that Covid can attack various organ systems & multiple experiences of Covid can make a person more vulnerable to “long Covid” & multi-system problems.
Is this accurate?
Your guidance throughout & since the “pandemic” has enabled our community to do very well despite our heightened vulnerability due age.
Thank you.
4. I got my latest Covid booster early in November but I got a ‘cold’ just before Thanksgiving and tested positive for Covid!
My question is are you protected for a period of time after having Covid?
I am 70 and have had all the vaccinations offered to decrease my risks.
5. I read recently that there is an upsurge of Mpox infections in Africa.
Are the most at risk groups the same as last year?
Does the Health Dept still carry Mpox vaccine?
Question for Willie Bence:
1. Would you please outline the county’s plan for warming shelters this winter?
