Grant County is currently working on this right now. I should be able to get you more information in the next couple of weeks. Our HR Director is moving into this role. The position's
name is Director of Organizational Services. He will have discipline authority for Department Heads. I will keep you posted as our process progresses.

Hello,
Kittitas County is looking at creating a Special Projects Manager position to report to the Board of County Commissioners. This position would function kind of like a County Administrator,
but would not have authority to discipline Department Heads. Supervisory authority would be maintained by the Commissioners. This position would perform the following functions:
* Receive and investigate public complaints, and provide recommendations for resolution to the Board.
* May serve as liaison between the Board and Department Heads/Elected Officials.
* May serve to support HR regarding labor relations issues and negotiations.
* Provides project management for all special Board assignments.
* Solicits and manages RFQs for the Board when needed.
* Coordinates with Code Enforcement in reporting to the Board on civil infraction and abatement actions.
I realize this is broad and kind of all over the place, but I’m wondering if your County might have a position like this, even if it’s loosely related? If so, would you be willing to
share the job description and wage range?
