I am about to take on the role of Secretary of a large organization, and this workshop was just what I needed. I wish that back then, when I volunteered as clerk of smaller groups, I had heard many of the things I learned today. The workshop was informative, quick-paced, and helpful. For the past couple of years we’ve been trying to incorporate changes in our board minutes that have been suggested by our attorney however, people are sometimes resistant to change. This workshop confirmed that the changes we’ve made are appropriate and needed to happen. I also learned some new things. Ann is a wonderful instructor and an amazing resource on Roberts Rules. I highly recommend taking the workshop, you won’t regret it! Cindy Lenker, Salem Electric Ann breaks down what can be a very rigid and sometimes confusing process into understandable terms by using examples that are immediately applicable. I particularly appreciated the list of reasons why taking minutes is hard work! and the various ways to streamline the task by following Robert’s Rules. Ann helps take the anxiety out of taking meeting minutes. I feel much more confident that I am recording the meeting minutes correctly by taking her classes and workshops.
