Vice- Chairman Margaret Taylor was absent. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Chairman Gillette moved to approve the meeting minutes of March 14, 2023. Member Raab seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote. REVIEW OF ASSESSMENT CORRECTIONS AND PETITIONS WITHDRAWLS: The Board reviewed the following withdrawals: Adele Poenisch, BOE 22.21.R and Dennis Gibbs, BOE 22-09-LO and BOE 22-10-LO, 412 061 011 and 412 061 010, no action is required. DETERMINATIONS Per Open Public Meetings Act, as Outlined in RCW 42.30.140(2) the Board of Equalization met in CLOSED SESSION. The Board began CLOSED SESSION deliberations at 10:03 a.m. At the conclusion of the deliberations the Board resumed the regular meeting at 11:00 a.m. and the following actions were taken. After reviewing all the information submitted, the Board concurred that the appellant did not present clear, cogent, and convincing evidence necessary to overcome the presumptive correctness of the Assessor. Chairman Gillette moved to sustain the Assessor's valuation of$386,595 ($150,000 for the land and $236,595 for the improvements). Member Raab seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote. After reviewing all the information submitted, the Board concurred that the appellant did not present clear, cogent, and convincing evidence necessary to overcome the presumptive correctness of the Assessor. Member Raab seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote. (See also minutes of March 23, 2023) Tracy Clark& Adrian Smith BOE 22-23-14 821 355 004 11 Paradise View Lane Port Ludlow,WA. 98365 The Board of Equalization held a hearing on March 23, 2023. After thoughtful consideration the Board finds that the Appellant did present the clear, cogent, and convincing evidence necessary to overcome the presumptive correctness of the full value originally established by the Assessor. Chairman Gillette moved to overrule the Assessor's original valuation and based upon the appraiser's report and provided pictures, the Board has applied a reduced assessed value of the buildings by 30%. The Board of Equalization finds that the value of the property is $1,045,918 ($317,500 for the land and $728,418 for the improvements). Member Raab seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote.
