Chairman Daryl Gillette called the meeting to order at 10:01 a.m. in the presence of Member Pete Raab. Vice-
Chairman Margaret Taylor was absent.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Chairman Gillette moved to approve of the Regular Meeting Minutes of April 20 and April 25, 2023
Member Raab seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote.
DETERMINATIONS
Per Open Public Meetings Act, as Outlined in RCW 42.30.140(2) the Board of Equalization met in
CLOSED SESSION. The Board began CLOSED SESSION deliberations at 10:03 a.m. At the conclusion
of the deliberations the Board resumed the regular meeting at 11:00 a.m. and the following actions were
taken.

The Board of Equalization held a hearing on April 25, 2023.
After thoughtful consideration the Board finds that the Appellant did present the clear, cogent, and
convincing evidence necessary to overcome the presumptive correctness of the full value originally
established by the Assessor.
Chairman Gillette moved to sustain the Assessor's valuation of$409,575 ($160,000 for the land and
$249,575 for the improvements). Vice-Chair Taylor seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous
vote. (See also minutes of April 25, 2023)

Chairman Gillette moved to sustain the Assessor's valuation of$200,000 ($200,000 for the land and $0

Chairman Gillette moved to sustain the Assessor's valuation of$870,640 ($168,500 for the land and
$702,140 for the improvements). Vice-Chair Taylor seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous

ADJOURNMENT
Chair Gillette adjourned the meeting at 11:03 a.m. until the next regular meeting or special meeting as
properly noticed.
