Please be aware that the public comment period is three minutes. 1 MEETING MINUTES JEFFERSON COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION Regular Meeting – December 6, 2023 Tri Area Community Center, 10 West Valley Road, Chimacum, Washington 98325 5:34PM Welcome Chair and Overview Presentation 1. Approval of Agenda: MaS 3. Approval of Minutes: November 1 and November 15, 2023 meeting minutes approved GENERAL UPDATES 4. Planning Commission Updates 5. DCD Staff and Director Updates (5 minutes) a. Port Ludlow Master Planned Resort (MPR) Measured Equivalent Residential Unit (MERU) update: Community Development is establishing, possibly through a third-party review, a new and accurate inventory and audit of MERUs in the Port Ludlow MPR. This work will also establish a county tracking system for future use. David Wayne Johnson and George Terry are working on this project. George will be attending the December 20 Planning Commission meeting and can answer any questions at that time. b. December 13, 2023: Jefferson County and City of Pot Townsend Planning Commission Pre- Approved Stock Plan Subcommittee Meeting, 5:30-7:30 p.m. c. January 20, 2024 Planning Commission Retreat and Joint BoCC Workshop 2024/2025-- location is Gardiner Community Center d. Alex Henley will be implementing a new Zoom account for Community Development planners and Planning Commission in 2024. This will provide additional features to manage the online portion of PC meetings. Alex will also be adding some enhancements to our PC records organization. The changes are primarily the back end of the system so will not be obvious to the PC at this time. 6. January 20, 2024 Planning Commission Retreat and Joint BoCC 2024/2025 Work Plan Planning Commission Training topics • Understand state laws with regard to septic and water service requirements • Incorporating health officials into the policy and planning process • Primers on functional plans attached to the CP • Tribal history and consultation Format of the retreat day at the Gardiner Community Center Bylaws, operational business, other concerns Annual Report and Workshop with BoCC 10. Scheduled Meetings and potential work items for meetings prior to 2024 Retreat 1.
