Re: Shamrock Hill Nursery, Home Business
Dear Ms. Miller:
This office is in receipt of your request to establish a wholesale
nursery as a home business located at 1520 Larson Lake Road which is
described as the Fast Half of the Southwest Quarter, of the Northeast
Quarter of Section 15, Township 28 North, Range 1 west, 4d'1. We find your
proposal to be consistent with the provisions for home occupations under
the following conditions:
1. The primary function of the business is to grow and wholesale bedding
plants. Retail sales shall only be those incidental to the wholesale
operations.
2. One three by three foot directional sign is permitted at the Larson
Lake Road entrance. No other off premise sign is permitted.
3. The establishment of a home occupation does not change the underlying
land use of rural residential, nor may the business be subdivided or
otherwise separated from the residential property.
4. No more than two persons outside of the immediate family may be
employed on site.
There is a $25 fee for home occupied businesses. Please remit to
this office the fee prior to operation of your facility.
