Previously a senior writer at Tablet Magazine <http://seattle.ajc.org/site/R?i =Mmvs0G-cxiU9E-fGR3ee1n-mGsL59tE-7Qo-Z_kcUN3nYIsdK_7k4Q> , he has also written for The New York Times, Washington Post, and Wall Street Journal. His journalism covers everything from national elections in America and Israel, to observant Jews in baseball and the translation of Harry Potter into Yiddish. Yair has received awards from the Religion Newswriters Association and the Harvard Center for Jewish Studies. In June of 2023 Yair testified in the U.S. Congress on “Responding to Anti-Semitism and Anti-Israel Bias.” In his spare time, he composes original Jewish music and creates bots that troll anti-Semites on Twitter.
