Committee (SWAC); District 2 Citizen Representative, Don Rhoden
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
ADVISORY BOARD APPOINTMENT
Advisory Board appointment (1) re: Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC);
District 2 Citizen Representative, Don Rhoden
ANALYSIS:
A Volunteer Application/Statement of Interest in serving on the SWAC was received
from Mr. Don Rhoden of Port Hadlock. Staff has spoken with Mr. Rhoden about his
interest in SWAC and his background in public and private utilities including solid
waste. Mr. Rhoden also attended the December 7 SWAC meeting and introduced
himself to the members. SWAC and staff would benefit by Mr. Rhoden's industry
knowledge and in particular his experience in developing solid waste management
plans, as a plan update is expected to start in late 2024.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve Mr. Rhoden's appointment request and update the SWAC membership list.
