The County's planning staff has informed me you then failed to either renew your building peiinit or request a final inspection of the construction project(construction of a single family residence) occurring at your land. You also ignored a previous letter to you from the Jefferson County planning staff Because you have failed to act, this office has been authorized to FILE SUIT against you in the Superior Court located in Port Townsend. If we file suit, then you would be required to appear in Port Townsend, miss time from work, pay your attorney and possibly PAY COURT PENALTIES, FINES OR COSTS the Judge might charge against you in addition to any fees you would pay to obtain either the extension of the permit or the final inspection, which the Judge would also require you to obtain. This County only reluctantly goes to court against its own landowners. And I will presume that you do not wish to bear the expenses listed in the prior paragraph when this problem can be simply resolved by returning to the Department of Community Development, 621 Sheridan Street, Port Townsend(QFC Shopping Center) and discussing the extra steps you need to complete. I will delay filing suit at this time, but if I do not hear from Community Development that this problem has been speedily resolved, I will have no choice but to FILE SUIT.
