Subject : Variance from 25 ' to 20 ' for Bruce and Sharon Meyer
Lot 24 , Division 7 , Bridghaven , Pt . Ludlow. Enclosure
$35 .00 for application of variance .
In reference to the above subject we are asking for your positive
judgement for the following reasons .
In order to build our house of exterior dimensions 36 ' X 46 '
(building plans are available for viewing) , we must apply for
a varience to place it on our lot as our septic system is already
installed and approved by the Jefferson County Health Dept .
1 . ) The structure must be placed 20 ' from the bulkhead (not on
Hood Canal ) to faciltate the proper setbacks from the road
and septic due to the irregular "pie-shaped" lot . See Bridghaven
Division 7 overall sight plan .
2 . ) The design of our structure is compatible with all other
structures on the "Spit" . We have designed a conventional
structure which is not over any height restrictions , or any
Bridgehaven restrictions . The design will not cause any
adverse effects to the adjacent properties or the shoreline
designation . Lot 25 and 26 are vacant , lot 23 is developed
and owners Mr . & Mrs . J . Abananti will confirm no objections
in writing if requested .
3 . ) By granting this variance we would not be granted any special
priviledge not enjoyed by the other properties on the "Spit" .
ie : Lot 27 is developed and structure is approximately
15 ' from the bulkhead . Lot 21 is developed and the
structure is 20 ' from the bulkhead . Lot 17 is deve-
loped and the structure is approximately 10 ' from the
bulkhead with an adjoining deck that is built over the
water .
4 . ) The public interest no detrimental effects .

general purpose and intent of the master program .
6 . ) the variance , when granted , will not produce any substantial
adverse effects to the shoreline environment .
