4. Planning Commission Updates:
CK: Happy New Year! Would like to forward to all Commissioners an article evaluating WA rent
stabilization. https://crosscut.com/news/2023/12/wa-rental-increases-cooling-affordability-crisis-
remains
MaS: The Outreach Subcommittee needs more people/involvement.
RH: We will continue the discussions surrounding subcommittees at the 1/20 Planning
Commission Retreat.

Marla Powers – Environmental Planner/Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe: Has been following the
Planning Commission over ZOOM and is looking forward to providing input on environmental
issues in the future.
