While we can't promise tropical weather, we can promise events that will get you outdoors, inspire you to travel and hopefully make new friends! The Traveler's Journal events are being held at the Dungeness River Nature Center. The railroad bridge is next to the center. Arrive early and walk across the bridge. Even in winter, nature abounds! We appreciate you volunteering with Olympic Discovery Trail! This race series spans many miles of the Olympic Discovery Trail. Come cheer on runners and walkers while helping to pass out water or get participants signed in. Run the Peninsula races donate to the Peninsula Trails Coalition/Olympic Discovery Trail and we show our appreciation by sharing our amazing volunteers with them! The relay has a mix of distances, participants who run from west to east, beginning at the Camp Creek trailhead along the Sol Duc River and finishing in Blyn at the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe facilities.
