We held our annual Board Retreat and Promotion Committee retreat in January to get 2024 plans underway. We welcomed Shauna Kohl, Personal Banker at 1st Security Bank, and Kris Nelson, restaurateur, to the board. Our new board president is Nathan Barnett, co-owner of the Old Consulate Inn. Wendy Duede of 1st Security will serve as past president. Amber Bartl is cycling off the board but will continue to remain active on our Promotion Committee. Shauna Kohl also joined the Promotion Committee. The plan has been in the works for the past eight months and the process was guided by AdvisArts Consultants with Creative District committees and community input. There are three grant opportunities in February that we are applying for to support Creative District efforts and help activate elements of the Arts and Culture Plan. Port Townsend Creative District Manager Position Contractor: Part-time This contract position is responsible for the management of the initiatives of the Port Townsend Creative District, including but not limited to fundraising efforts, the implementation of the Arts and Culture Plan workplan and the priorities of the Creative District Subcommittee, and assistance with Creative District events.
