Good afternoon commissioners and staff,
The DCW report (attached) dated January 14th, titled "Risk Analysis and Lifecycle Comparative" provides a comparison of the Opsis new construction, renovation of the Mountain View existing
pool and a Sprung Structure.
DCW misses the mark on the Sprung costs by a significant amount. DCW overshoots the Sprung price tag by about $17M and they have misrepresented other features of Sprung structures including
longevity, maintenance, etc.
Sprung estimates that they can deliver a plunge-ready pool facility for $13M. We need more elaboration on their proposal and a meeting would be beneficial. McLane Sprung will be in Washington
in early February and he would like to meet with interested stakeholders to discuss his proposal and answer questions about this innovative design and technology.
Jefferson County owes it to our residents to examine this opportunity to provide these cost savings while still offering a high quality and attractive facility which will serve us for
many decades to come. I hope you will take advantage of Mr Sprung's kindness and generosity and truly analyze this proposal to determine if it suits the needs of Jefferson County.
Kind regards, Jean
