Upon review of the signed agreement it was concluded there is an error in the signed document under Maintenance of Benefits and Dental Plan Coverage. Corrections include • Section 23.1 Renumbering section 23.2.1 to 23.1.1 • Section 23.2 Clarification of cost sharing basis and deletion of old section 23.2.1 Based on these corrections a new subscription agreement identifying Dental Plan B is required. FISCAL IMPACT: None RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Technical Amendment(24-01) and Subscription Agreement between Sheriff's Office Support Services and Teamsters Local No. 589. This Amendment#24-01 is by and between JEFFERSON COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE SHERIFF'S SUPPORT SERVICES STAFF(hereinafter known as"COUNTY")and the TEAMSTERS LOCAL UNION NO. 589 OF THE INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF TEAMSTERS(hereinafter known as"UNION"). B. The COUNTY and UNION are parties to a labor Agreement providing wages,hours and working conditions for that group of employees described as Sheriffs Office Support Services Staff as employed by the Employer in the Sheriff's Office. C. The COUNTY and UNION entered into an Agreement covering the period beginning January 1,2024 and until December 31,2026. D. The parties desire to amend the terms of that Agreement . E. Upon review of that signed Agreement the Parties have concluded there is an ERROR in the signed document which requires this Technical Amendment(#24-01)to effectuate the intent and agreement of the Parties. F. The Parties desire to amend the terms of the Agreement. NOW THEREFORE IT IS AGREED BETWEEN BOTH PARTIES AS NAMED HEREIN that the Agreement executed on December 18,2023 is hereby amended as follows: ARTICLE 23.2.1 which currently reads: 23.2.1 In addition to the basic Medical Plan B the following optional benefits shall be provided: 9-month disability premium waiver, Plan A$400 week additional STD benefit, Plan B $15,000 additional employee Life/$1,500 AD&D insurance. Is amended to read: 23.1.1 In addition to the basic Medical Plan B the following optional benefits shall be provided: 9-month disability premium waiver, Plan A $400 week additional STD benefit,Plan B $15,000 additional employee Life/$1,500 AD&D insurance. ARTICLE 23.2 DENTAL which currently reads: The Employer shall pay into the Northwest Teamsters Dental Trust,Plan B at the amount required each month for each employee who was compensated eighty(80)hours during the preceding month. The above payments shall be made to an authorized administrative office by the 10th of each month. ARTICLE 23.2.1 which currently reads: 23.2.1 Effective with December 2008 hours payable in January 2009,Plan B shall be replaced with Dental Plan A on the same 85%, 15%cost sharing basis(see Maintenance of Benefits). WASHINGTON TEAMSTERS WELFARE TRUST SUBSCRIPTON AGREEMENT BENEFIT PLAN DESIGNATED IN COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT which currently reads: Dental Plan A Is amended to read: Dental Plan B All other terms and conditions of the original Agreement executed on December 18,2023,will remain the same.
