Subject: Purchase of Rescue Equipment
The Clallam County Fire District 1 Board of Commissioners would like to thank West Jefferson County for
the generous purchase of rescue equipment for District 1's (Forks Fire Department) coverage area.
District 1's coverage area includes all of west Clallam and Jefferson County (Under Mutual aid
agreement with Forks EMS) for motor vehicle accidents and Highway related incidents. With the funds
provided by West Jefferson County, we (Clallam District 1) purchased Hurst rescue equipment that was
provided in the request letter. This equipment will save lives and time when having to rapidly deploy the
Jaws of Life. Fire District 1 Commissioners, leadership staff and firefighters are honored, and look
forward to serving our neighboring communities with the most modern and advanced extrication
equipment.
