PNW Lawmakers Want Faster FEMA Response for Wildfire Victims
Three congressional members from Pacific Northwest have introduced bipartisan measures which aim to improve coordination between local, state, and federal agencies and tribal nations
to deliver resources faster in the aftermath of disastrous wildfires.
The bills are a response to the 2020 Babb Road Fire which destroyed most of the small town of Malden in eastern Washington’s Whitman County and the Gray and Oregon Road fires in Spokane
County which burned 366 homes and claimed two lives last August.

Clallam County to Commit ARPA Funds by End of Year
The coronavirus pandemic may be becoming a distant memory, but some of the federal government’s stimulus money provided during the ordeal still remains.

Results of the 2023 CoC Program Competition
On Monday HUD announced the results of the 2023 Continuum of Care Program Competition. Again I get to share that the news for the WA BoS CoC is as excellent as it can possibly be!
Every one of the projects accepted and included in the priority listing we submitted to HUD was awarded funding. Just like last year, every single one. All renewals (Tier 1 and Tier
2), both new DV set aside projects, both new regular bonus projects, and all YHDP projects were awarded and will start or be renewed in 2024. The total for our CoC is $17,598,846 which
