RE: SDP2023-00022
Jefferson County has forwarded the attached application to you for review and comment because your
agency is responsible for determining compliance with state and federal requirements or may otherwise
be affected by the following proposal:
Shoreline conditional use (administrative) application to construct a new house in the Natural
shoreline environment designation along the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The residential structures are
proposed in the southeastern portion of the property and most of the development will occur outside
of shoreline jurisdiction. However, the northwestern most part of the residence, stormwater system,
and the septic system would be located within 200 feet of ordinary high water mark, but outside of the
150-foot shoreline buffer and 10-foot building setback. The applicants have submitted a
geotechnical report and a no net loss report. The proposal is not subject to review under the State
Environmental Policy Act (SEPA).

Comments must be received within 30 calendar days or by March 15, 2024. If no written response has
been received within 30 days, your agency will be presumed to have no comments. If necessary, the
UDC administrator may grant an extension of time for comment. Please contact at (360) 379-4466 if you
desire an extension of time or have additional questions regarding this proposal.
