Good afternoon, Commissioners –
While I’m still wading through the budget, I wanted to let you know that the septage capacity study was funded in the House Supplemental Operating Budget! Thank you for your work in
elevating this issue. We’ll highlight that this budget item was NOT included in the Senate, so as the chambers negotiate, we want to emphasize its importance in getting into the final
budget. WSAC and WSALPHO will both be calling this out in our communications to budget writers and hoping that you’ll be willing to do the same if you are planning anything for your
counties.
Fingers crossed, we get some good outcomes, but this is a great first step!
