Do not open attachments or click on links if you are not expecting them. Hi Commissioner Dean, You may not be the right person for me to email for this request, but I’m not sure who the right person is! Could you please forward this to the appropriate staff at Jefferson County? American Farmland Trust recently launched a project to understand and plan for agricultural viability in the Puget Sound region. This project is funded by the Puget Sound Partnership, which is responsible for the Puget Sound Action Agenda. The Action Agenda has a strategy to prevent the conversion of farmland by supporting the long-term viability of agriculture, encouraging local governments to plan for agriculture, and developing policies to strengthen agricultural resilience. The outcomes of this project include a Puget Sound agricultural viability action plan, recommendations and a toolkit for local governments, and indicators to measure progress. In the early stages of this project, I am reviewing the current plans and documents that counties use to guide and support the future of agriculture in their communities. Could you please send me anything relevant for Jefferson County? I do have the 2016 Agricultural and Farmland Protection Plan, but I’m wondering if there are any other documents I should be aware of. Thank you!
