Call to Order: Chair Bob Gebo called the meeting to order at 2:04 p.m. in the presence of Member
Ken Przygocki, Member Dan Taylor, and Secretary Kristen Bennett. Chief Examiner Steve Richmond
participated remotely.
Public Comment: No comments received.
Approval of Minutes: Member Przygocki moved to approve the regular meeting minutes of
November 28, 2023, as presented. Member Taylor seconded the Motion. The Motion carried.
Old Business: None.
New Business:
1. Welcome Member Dan Taylor
2. Appointment of Chair for 2024: Member Przygocki nominated current Chair Gebo. Member
Taylor seconds the motion. Motion carried 2:08 p.m.
3. Presentation by Sarah Melancon, Human Resources Director, on ratification of Collective
Bargaining Agreement between Teamsters Local No. 589 and Sheriff’s Support Services:
Human Resources Director Sarah Melancon summarizes the changes in the recently ratified
CBA between Jefferson County and Sherriff Support Services, including title change from
Records Officer to Support services technician I and the addition of Support Services
Technician II position. Along with the 12% wage increase and the ability of the Sheriff to
appointment Lead positions.
Additional Business:
1. Discussion of current vacancies and two open positions in Support Services Staff.
2. Chief examiner Steve Richmond discusses establishment of new testing date.
