Hi Donna, I meant to respond to you last Wednesday, so I apologize for the delay. I very much appreciate your concerns for pedestrian safety. My understanding was that final work on the roundabout was scheduled for March, but that's only a vague memory. I'm CCing some of our public works team, who are more intimately involved in coordinating with WSDOT on their roundabout work. Hopefully one or more will know more about the timeline for improved pedestrian safety at that critical intersection. Thank you very much. Best, David J. A woman who was part of the construction crew told me lights were due to arrive Jan 10th. She showed me where they would be installed. It’s a heck of a lot harder to cross that street with no accommodation for pedestrians. I walk there often. It’s the access to UPS, the eye clinic, walking downtown, etc. I’m nearly 80. My friend is 83. We both used that previous corner regularly. I will have an appointment at the eye clinic and will have my eyes dilated as I walk back home. I am concerned about getting across that street with limited vision. CROSSWALK LIGHTS PLEASE! Donna Valentine Landes St Sent from my iPhone
