HCCC’s Scott Brewer transitions to new role - With the hiring of David Dicks as HCCC's new Executive Director, Scott Brewer will now focus on summer chum salmon recovery as HCCC's Salmon
Policy and Science Advisor. Scott will be responsible for developing the guidance and direction for the HCCC salmon program with a primary focus on Hood Canal and Eastern Strait of
Juan de Fuca Summer Chum salmon recovery. Working with HCCC staff,consultants, and partners the position will develop the approach for the delisting and recovery of summer chum salmon.
Scott will work closely with the Executive Director advising on matters of environmental science and policy issues.
Puget Sound Strategic Initiative Leads RFP Schedule - The Habitat Strategic Initiative Leads’ (SILs) 2024 RFP schedule is now available.Additionally, Habitat and Stormwater Strategic

WA Dept. of Commerce survey on Incorporating Salmon Recovery into Local Planning Efforts. The WA Dept. of Commerce received funds from the State Climate Commitment Act to launch a new
grant program that incorporates salmon recovery efforts into local planning efforts. As Commerce develops this new program it is important that they hear about salmon recovery needs
