Dear Commissioner Dean,
I am writing to urgently seek your assistance regarding the ongoing hostage crisis in Gaza. 134 Innocent lives are at stake, including children, women, and elderly individuals. Time
is of the essence, and we must act swiftly to address this grave matter.
For several months now, hundreds of innocent people, including US citizens, have been enduring unimaginable suffering at the hands of the ruthless terrorist organization Hamas.
The hostages have been living in deplorable conditions, with reports and proofs of ongoing sexual abuse, physical violence, forced isolation, torture, starvation, and lack of access
to medication and even basic necessities such as air. Every passing moment without intervention further endangers their lives.
It is imperative that we take immediate action to secure the release of these hostages and put an end to this egregious violation of human rights and the indescribable suffering of these
families. Even the International Court of Justice is gravely concerned and made a clear announcement: “Release all hostages held by Hamas immediately and unconditionally.”
While we do appreciate the support of President Biden and the involvement of the US Deputy Special Envoy for Hostage Affairs, as well as the efforts of Congress to address this crisis,
more needs to be done urgently. I urge you to use your platform as a public representative to advocate for the immediate release of the hostages and to raise awareness for its urgency.
Your voice can make a significant difference in bringing attention to this issue and mobilizing support for those who are suffering. Lives hang in the balance, and every second counts.
