Dear Heidi, As you know I have been studying and researching the pool issues for quite a while. The more I have looked into the project the more flaws I have discovered, too many to rectify. We live in an incredibly dynamic community filled with powerful people who are able to accomplish whatever they set their minds to. In the case of the pool, the Healthier Together Steering Committee along with our City and County staff have failed the citizens. The elected officials of our community need to take back their power and simply say no to the pool Task Force idea. I would encourage you to tell your fellow commissioners that District 2 isn’t interested in another Task Force. I am also aware that there is no support for this in District 3, and other than a loud minority group of misinformed and misguided citizens in District 1, it is reasonable to state that county-wide, the task force issue, PFD issue, and a publically funded, i.e. taxpayers monies, aquatic center/ pool facility issue is not supported by the citizenry of the county. Thank you for your kind consideration of my involvement on the task force, but for the reasons I have very clearly and concisely stated, I will decline this invitation. Furthermore, there are no conditions that would change my position on this/ these issue(s). Thank you for your hard work on behalf of the citizens of District 2 and the county as a whole. Mark L Grant
