Hello Commissioners and Staff,
Last week, during the GMA update meeting, you opened up for public comment at the start of the meeting. That was the only opportunity for public comment. I appreciate the opportunity
to hear and speak comments, however...
You asked for comments on a subject that the public had not yet heard. Forgive me if that makes me scratch my head.
Now, after hearing the meeting, at the meeting next month, if the public remembers what they thought about during the previous month's meeting, we can submit that comment. If the public's
comment applies to the previous meeting, and is heard at the current meeting, it cannot be acted upon until the following meeting. By then, it is too late and the train has left the
station.
Allowing a comment period at the start of the meeting should be coupled with a comment period at the end of the meeting to facilitate the interactions which will yield a more timely
and productive discussion and course of action. Fostering public input should be fostered and encouraged.
Thank you to Josh for adjusting his rate of speech so that he would be easier to understand and less garbled in the audio capture. Thank you, also, to Carolyn for opening the chat feature
so attendees could provide technical feedback when we were experiencing difficulties with your audio.
