Notice is hereby given that Jefferson County, State of Washington, is accepting bids until 2:00 PM on
Thursday March 28, 2024 via email at tcoleman@co.jefferson.wa.us , or they can be hand delivered
Attn: Tracy Coleman, Central Services Director, 1820 Jefferson Street, Washington, 98368. An email
receipt will be sent for those being sent via email. If you do not receive an email, your bid has not been
received. The bid is for pressure washing, epoxy sealing exterior rotten board, replacing a single down
spout and painting the Olympic Peninsula Visitors Center that is approximately 1500 sq. ft in size. Bids
will be received until 2 p.m. on March 28, 2024.
This bid provides for epoxy sealing rotting exterior wood, replacing one down spout and painting the
remainder of the building as is, this includes exterior rail and trim. The building needs to be pressure
washed prior to painting. Paint to be used is Sherwin-Williams Exterior Duration Satin paint with the
trim done in Sherwin-Williams Duration gloss. Color will be selected upon award. There is NO water at
the site. Down spout to be one single unit and matches other down spouts. This will be a lump sum bid.
You must do a site visit and inspection on your own. Work to begin no later than June 10, 2024. Work to
be completed within 15 working days from mutually agreed start date, yet no later than June 28, 2024.
The building will be budgeted for future siding and upgrades at a later date.

Note: Blue star represents area of wood rot on the south side of the building. There is an area on
the west side of the building as well. This is to be epoxy coated as a temporary fix to seal for paint to
adhere to. The down spout is on the SW corner.
Bid Documents: This is a lump sum bid inclusive of prevailing wage labor and all materials to complete
the job. Bids must include the following line items:
• Labor
• Pressure Washing
• Paint Materials
• Down Spout Material
• Mobilization
• Epoxy coat material
• Bond
• Tax
Each bid shall be accompanied by a surety bond, postal money order, cash, cashier’s check or certified
check payable to the Treasurer of Jefferson County in the sum of five (5%) percent of the bid amount, to
be forfeited to Jefferson County by the successful bidder if he/she fails to enter into a contract and file
an acceptable surety bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price within ten (10) calendar days of
the award. Jefferson County reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to accept the bid deemed
most advantageous to Jefferson County and to waive all informalities in the bidding.
The Jefferson County Public Works, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of
1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it
will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged
business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this
invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in
consideration for an award.
