New PA City Code to Allow Cap of 200 or 2% STRs
o THE PORT ANGELES CITY COUNCIL CHANGED DIRECTION ON
STRS (SHORT TERM RENTALS) ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 7,
DURING A SECOND NIGHT OF DELIBERATIONS,
o THEY APPROVED AN ORDINANCE THAT WILL ALLOW WHOLE-
HOUSE SHORT-TERM RENTALS THROUGHOUT THE CITY,
WITH NO RESTRICTIONS ON ZONES
o AT A CAP OF 200 OR 2 PERCENT OF HOUSING STOCK.
Jefferson County will host a series of public meetings to discuss regulations
regarding short-term rental properties.
The county is looking for public input to determine if there is a need to
change the existing regulations governing short-term rentals and, if
needed, what sort of changes might be necessary.
Meetings are scheduled at 5:30 p.m. at:
•March 12, at the Cape George Fire Station
•March 13, at the Tri-Area Community Center
•March 14, at the Quilcene Community Center 5
