We sprung our clocks forward this week - the perfect analogy to the goings-on at the County Road Administration Board. The 2024 Legislative session came to a close just last week and, believe it or not, that means preparations are underway for the 2025 session. One of our areas of focus for 2025 will be our preservation and maintenance programs. We know there is great demand for preservation and maintenance dollars, and we also know there are large gaps in funding for other critical transportation infrastructure. In order to quantify and qualify these needs, we are undertaking a study of our Rural Arterial Program and its effectiveness. An important factor of the study is hearing from you. We recently sent a survey out to beneficiaries of the program, and now we are hitting the road to dive a little deeper. Over the next month CRAB staff will be holding regional RAP meetings to dig into specifics that arose from the survey - and also to review context to any concerns. We want to ensure that as we plan any improvements, we are resolving any issues that are actually worth fixing, and in a manner that makes the program better. We are also interested in learning more about where your most critical area of need is. There are limited resources out there, and we want to make sure CRAB is spending those resources effectively and responsibly. Now is the time we really need to hear from you!
